Accountant (Junior)

About the role

We're looking for a Junior Accountant to join our accounting team on a full-time, onsite basis. You'll handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and support our financial operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with accounting software, tax forms, and spreadsheets to keep our books accurate and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Record daily transactions in Zoho Books and maintain accurate ledgers
• Prepare and file BIR forms (2550M, 1601C, and other required returns)
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts monthly
• Process invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Follow up on outstanding receivables and payables
• Maintain organized documentation for audit purposes
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proficiency with BIR forms and tax compliance procedures
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, data organization)
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting software
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Filipino CPA license preferred but not required for entry-level candidates

Nice to have

• Experience with other accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
• Knowledge of payroll processing
• Familiarity with internal audit procedures
• Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role
